A Simple Carrot Soup
The simplest of carrot soups. One I love, in part, because it's an example of how a beautiful meal can come together with a bit of care, and an impossibly short list of ingredients. Carrots and onion form the base, which is spiked with dollop of red curry paste, and then pureed into silky oblivion.
A Lesson in Juicing
I inherited a professional juicer, juiced everything in sight, and learned a few things in the process.
Bloody Mary Popcorn
This is what happens when popcorn meets the flavors of a Bloody Mary cocktail. The magic is a simple-but-strong spice blend made from tomato, oregano, a bit of citrus, oregano, and celery.
Using your Underutilized Steamer
I find myself using steam as a cooking technique increasingly for a number of reasons. It's deceptively fast. It maintains much of the vibrancy and vitally of ingredients. It's one of the most healthful ways to cook, and (as you'll see) it's surprisingly adaptable.
Broiled Saffron Dates
If you've been to my house at any point in recent months, you've likely had these dates - broiled with saffron, almond extract, ghee, and a bit of salt. They're unctuous, sweet goodness.
Grab & Go Chia Yogurt Parfait
A favorite grab-and-go breakfast flecked with lots of nutritional chia seeds, and topped with berries and whatever you like for crunch. Takes two minutes tops to pull together.
Turmeric Popcorn
Kernels popped in ghee, clarified butter, or coconut oil and tossed with a short list of power ingredients - turmeric, saffron, nutritional yeast, sesame, and toasted coconut. A+ afternoon snack.
Yogurt Love: A Dozen Favorite Recipes
Yogurt isn't just for breakfast or a quick snack; it has limitless possibilities. This is a list of some of my favorite ways to enjoy it. Enjoy!
At the Studio: Coconut Yellow Split Pea Soup
Yellow split peas incorporated into a ginger-spiked yellow coconut curry broth (lots of turmeric) - cherry tomatoes, chive oil, seeds, micro greens. The best kind of working lunch.
Smash-and-Toss Roasted Potato Salad
A flavor-forward potato salad you can make a meal of - French lentils, sun-dried tomatoes, ginger, garlic, almonds, and basil. All together. In one beautiful roasted potato salad.
